I am all about it. I have found that our local electric cooperative is going to "Time-of-use" rates. This means that if you use your electricity at non-peak times it will save you money.
Perhaps your local electric company offers this. How hard is it to wash your clothes and run the dishwasher after 9pm. How hard is it to take a shower before 1pm during the summer.
If you live in the Appalachian Electric Co-op area of TN the peak hours are 5am to 11am in the winter and 1pm to 9pm in the summer. I need to find out what they define as "summer" and "winter" since I didn't see "spring" or "fall" rates. However, if this will save money for my family...I am on board.
Another tip is going to
